Why I Started Origins of Odisha – A Founder’s Story
Share
There was always one thing that connected me to home, no matter where I was — the taste of Odisha. ❤️
The smell of homemade pickle opening during lunch. 🥭
The tangy taste of ambula in dal. 🍲
The crispy papad during family dinners. 😋
The traditional badi lovingly prepared by our mothers and grandmothers. 👵✨
These were never just food items for me.
They were memories served on a plate. 🏡
They were emotions tied to every festival, every family gathering, every childhood moment. ❤️
They were a part of who we are.
As life became busier and people moved away from home for studies, jobs, and dreams, I noticed something deeply personal. 🌍
Many Odias living outside Odisha were searching for authentic Odia products online — the same flavors they grew up with. But most of the time, they could not find the real homemade taste, proper quality, or hygienic packaging they trusted.
That feeling stayed in my heart for a long time. 💭
I did not want our traditional flavors to slowly disappear in the middle of modern fast food and artificial tastes.
I wanted people living far from home to feel connected to Odisha again — through food that carries love, tradition, and authenticity. 🌾❤️
And that is how Origins of Odisha was born. ✨
Not just as a business,
but as an emotion. 💛
A small effort to bring Odisha closer to every Odia heart, wherever they are in the world. 🌍🙏
